Jimmy Van de Velde, also known as DJ Nekbath, was introduced to electronic music in 1995. A passionate DJ and producer, he quickly made a name for himself on the French electronic scene, before gaining international recognition thanks to his talent and relentless dedication. His partnership with Sébastien Léger led to the creation of two influential labels, Cyclik and Subkroniq. Together, they honed their craft, resulting in numerous productions and remixes for renowned labels such as Subliminal, Defected, Hypnotic, Black Jack, and Riviera. These works were featured on prominent mix compilations, including La Rocca « Marco on Sundays » and Francesco Farfa « Travel Mate, » among others.

His performances, combining intense DJ sets and innovative music production, immerse his audience in a dynamic soundscape that blends Techno and Tech House.

Originally from northern France, Jimmy grew up in a musically rich environment. In 1997, he moved to the south of France, where his passion for electronic music flourished. He began performing at various events and parties while gradually shifting his focus to music production, experimenting with hardware and computer-based setups.

Under the name DJ Nekbath, he released several house music tracks on prestigious labels such as Black Jack, Riviera, Confidential, Zodiac, and Grand Prix. In 1999, he co-founded his own production company, Last Resort Prod, with Sébastien Léger, promoting the Cyclik & Subkroniq Recording labels, which quickly gained traction in the music scene. In 2001, he signed with the renowned Paris-based label Hypnotic Recording and started remixing tracks for notable artists like Kiko, Sébastien Léger, Ron Carroll, and Nicolas Wanderungen, on leading labels such as Subliminal, Defected, 20000 St, and Chicayork. His music was featured in several DJ mix compilations, including La Rocca « Marco on Sundays » and Francesco Farfa « Travel Mate, » further establishing his reputation.

This recognition opened doors for him to perform in countries such as Poland, Russia, Belgium, Spain, and Reunion Island. At the same time, Last Resort Prod continued to grow in popularity, becoming a well-known brand. In 2003, he launched the label Bits Recording, which also enjoyed considerable success. Shortly thereafter, he decided to relocate to Marbella, Spain, to enjoy the local music scene and lifestyle, before eventually returning to Belgium in 2004, where he continues to play a prominent role in the electronic music industry.
